Experience

Experience shaped by real delivery environments.

AISK combines commissions delivered through the consultancy with professional experience developed by our directors across civil engineering, infrastructure, construction and domestic retrofit. We label that distinction clearly.

By the numbers

Selected experience by the numbers.

These figures combine AISK commissions and relevant director experience. Project ownership is identified clearly below.

120+retrofit projects / lodgements coordinated
£900klargest civil engineering scheme directly managed with combined Site Manager and Site Engineer responsibility
50+CAD drawings, technical details and drawing packages produced or coordinated
15+years combined construction, infrastructure and retrofit experience across AISK's directors
Selected experience

Selected projects, with experience ownership identified clearly.

AISK Commission means work delivered through AISK Ltd. Director Experience means relevant work undertaken through previous employment, consultancy or project appointments.

Director Experience
Civil engineering · Local authority

Local authority drainage improvement scheme

Approximately £900,000

Adeel Iqbal held combined Site Manager and Site Engineer responsibility for day to day delivery, programme, engineering checks, quality, health and safety, subcontractor coordination and client liaison.

The experience provides AISK with direct understanding of what project controls, technical information and assurance need to look like when they reach a live construction environment.

Director Experience
Rail infrastructure · Design management

Rugby Parkway multidisciplinary rail design

Client side design management included requirements management, constructability, multidisciplinary coordination and progressive assurance across the interface between the client, design consultant, Network Rail standards and specialist disciplines.

A structured requirements and review process created a clearer evidence trail between the client requirement, design response, review, acceptance and outstanding action.

Director Experience
Water infrastructure · Construction delivery

Major water infrastructure scheme

Approximately £10 million

Experience included programme monitoring, short term planning, subcontractor coordination, Inspection and Test Plans, temporary works, quality assurance, Early Warnings, Compensation Events and technical change within live construction.

This background informs the proportionate controls and progressive assurance methods AISK now applies to construction and retrofit programmes.

EWI junction thermal assessment

fRSI and thermal junction assessments have been used where retained meter boxes, window details, timber interruptions, service penetrations or reduced insulation thickness created local performance questions that standard drawings could not answer.

Calculations were supported by Construction Detail Notes so geometry, assumptions and technical interpretation remained traceable.

EWI drawing and technical submission support

A legacy EWI drawing library was reviewed and developed into a more controlled technical package, including system build ups, window and door interfaces, ground terminations, roof interfaces, service penetrations and drawing revision control.

The work connected what was intended for installation with the information required for manufacturer and warranty review.

What carries across the sectors

The project types differ. The delivery lessons travel.

01

Requirements matter

A project becomes difficult to assure when the expected outcome was never clearly defined.

02

Interfaces matter

Problems often develop where one organisation or discipline hands responsibility to another.

03

Early scrutiny matters

Technical issues are usually easier to resolve before procurement, construction or wider rollout.

04

Site reality matters

A design must account for the conditions in which it will actually be delivered.

05

Change needs control

Project conditions evolve, but significant changes should remain connected to the original requirement.

06

Lessons should travel

A problem solved once should improve the next property, workstream or project.
